So do you have runners and plenum? Or intake, runners and plenum?

First prefit all the parts, there is a left and right set of runners. If you are going to gasket match, now is the time to do so.

You may want to grind some of the areas under the runners for clearance with the screws or whatever you will use to attach the runners to the plenum. Accel recommended to me to throw out the small bolts for the runner to plenum and replace with studs. Something to consider. You don't have much room to get under the plenum to put in the screws or the nuts. If you mock this up and then consider that your valve train is in the way giving you even less room, you will understand.

If you are also going to change the intake, be prepared to remove rocker arms to get bolts into the new intake. That means you will have to adjust valves.

Most of your hoses should go where they were before. If you have an automatic, the cable will go under the plenum.

Give yourself a couple of days to do the initial tear down and install. The first install in very trying.

Default accel ram install

i have intake runners and plenum.have been doing the pre assemble on the work bench and am thinking of either the studs like you said or drilling out the plenum and using allen bolts and lock nuts with a nylon or copper washer inside the plenum. it looks like all the holes line up so far and the runners bolt up without any problems, but like you said there is not much room to play with. thx don o
