How much does he charge for one of those upgrades?
When I had my auto rebuilt 7 years ago, I call up LPE and ask them if they rebuilt auto or sold rebuild kits. They said they use a local rebuilder to do their cars; LPE recommended that I do the same.

i had my 700r4 rebuilt with a bigger servo, redline clutches with extra clutches in the 3-4 shift. i also had a shift kit & stall converter added.so far so good. :D

I had two of Rossler/LPE units terminally fail on me. I could be one of the few...but others I know have terrific luck with it. It's hit or miss I am sure. Give them a try.
