im still confused, iv got the antenna ground grounded on car, i got the red and blue wire ran up to the factory antenna relay but not connected.
which wire on the antenna relay do i need to ground, then the other 2 should be common sense ?
im starting to think you cant ground the antenna, and the ground on the antenna relay seperatly ?
let me know yall thanks

From that diagram you should not "ground" any wire from the antenna; the only ground connection is the black wire at the relay.

use an ohm meter or test light to determine which antenna connections have continuity when the antenna up and which when the antenna is down. Clearly one connection should be common to both the up & down.

The connection that is open with the antenna down should be connected to the old Wh wire and the one that is open with the antenna fully up should be connected to the old Gry wire.

I never saw motor go bad, it is always antenna mast. I bought one from Ebay for $15 or so.

Default ground any wire ?

the new antenna has a red, blue and black, black is shorter then the rest with a end that says ground me lol
so i ground the black wire and rand the red and blue to the relay. nothing.
but that leave the 3rd wire at the relay empty so i tried grounding that, still nothing, so im guess yall are saying that i need to take the red, blue and black wires from the new after market antenna and run them to the 3 wires coming from the stock antenna relay ?
by the way i did volt meter them , the white showed constant 12volts, the gray nothing and the green nothing , even when switched, thats why im confused, however the factory one that i pulled worked , just didnt rise up
.
so im stuck as of right now,

Default thanks hooked on vettes

that antenna thread helped, yeah taking those extra 3 wires out of the loop fron the antenna relay and just splicing into the the orange , pink and black made it worked.
thannks again !!!!

NOW IF I CAN FIGURE OUT A WAY TO SHORTEN THE MASS ON THE NEW ONE, ITS WAY TO LONG, ANY IDEAS ANYONE, I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD HAVE A CB ON THE VETTE, LOL
