Default aluminum radiator

I've been thinking about changing out the stock radiator for an all aluminum 2 or 3 row.

Is this a worthwhile investment, primarily with respect to lowering engine temps 20+ degrees?

Thank you.

I did went with a DeWitts double row all aluminum radiator. Well worth it, I highly recommend one. You may want to go with a 170*~180* thermostat and lower the temps your fans turn on, to realize the full cooling effect of a double row radiator.

The best way is to reprogram the PCM.

I have a dewitts same temps as stock rad. If I changed the stat and reprogram fans it will run cooler-I left the stock fan temp and stock stat-(180). The dewitts is a great rad.

If your engine is running hot you may have other problems. Make sure your fans are operating correctly. Make sure that there's no debri blocking the air flow.

I installed a De witt's radiator. I reprogrammed the chip. The main fan now kicks on at 195F. I changed the fan sensor to kick on the aux fan earlier.

You Vette is different than my 88. My temps never get above 210 now. That's when it's very hot and running the AC. I used to see temps up around 135F. Some say that's normal but I never liked it.
