Default pulling codes service abs

I was looking under the rear compartments in my 90 conv. today and discovered the abs unit and controller was unplugged by the previous owner. (now I know why hard pedal). Anyway I plugged everything back in and started the car. I now have the service abs light on. how do I pull the abs code so I can start to diagnose and repair the problem properly. thanks always Rich

You can pull most (but not all) of the ABS codes by grounding Pin "H" of the ALDL connector and then turning the ignition on.

After about 3-4 seconds a code sequence will flash beginning with a Code 12 to begin the sequence. After all of the codes have flashed Code 12 will be displayed again. Each stored code should flash 3 times before beginning the next code.

There are a total of 18 codes of which 5 are supposedly accessible only with GM's Tech 1 code reader.

Pull your codes and then let us know. (I am to lazy to type out the meaning of all 18)!

If you have a copy of the Service Manual it is all there on page 5E1-2.
