i once read that 60% of GM egr solenoids are the same, but with different mounting brackets. i also read that an 83 el camino solenoid, is the same as the 86-91 corvette, but again, with a different bracket. you might try that route and swap out the bracket. just a thought...

Ecklers claims that their part # 53262 will allow the use of their part # 36929 which is a solenoid from a 92-96 Corvette as a replacement upgrade for 85-91 models. That is from their parts catalog. I assume it will work but haven't tried it myself and make no representation. Maybe that information will be of some use.
