Hey, how is your vortec project going. I can't wait to hear some feedback from you. I am wanting to go with the same settup just as soon as I see how your car took to the intake and heads.
I can't wait my self, but I had some transmission problems I had to fix first. The ball that the clutch fork piviots on broke in half, lucky I had a spair.
The trans went in today and every thing should be back together on Sat.
I still want to dyno before and after so I'm hoping to get it dynoed this coming week then start. All I need is the gaskets I got every thing else, the only thing I dont know about is if the stock push rods will work.
One thing you should understand about my car, I spun a bearing last year and replaced the original motor with one from a corvette junk yard it is an 85 vette motor but I don't know every thing about it, I do know that it has 1.6 roller rockers and I hope to beable to swap them over to the new heads but I don't know if it has been bored or a different cam installed, so your results may not be the same. But then again mine could be about to blow and your results could be better.
No matter what I will keep you posted.
Coolo. Thanks! I am not really looking for exact performance number so you don't have to worry about me comparing mine to yours. I really just want to make sure it all goes together well and performs better than the stock intake and heads. I will probally rebuild my engine when I put this setup on. I will probally go with a 355 cube motor. How does the qualitity of everything look. Thanks for your info. I really appreciate it.
