Default LT1 intake manifold porting........pricing

I've thought about doing my porting myself but since I've never done it before I decided to let a pro do it.

I checked around and got a few prices.

Ai is 375.00

Lingenfelter is 299.95

I believe LE is 250.00

My dyno guy is also a machinist at a speed shop so he's going to do it for me and charge me 150.00 and that includes the manifold so I can leave mine on the car until the heads get here. I know he's doing me a favor but really.........

WTF! Why are the other guys so high? Since the LT1 intake is so open inside is it really any more than gasket matching?

I used to charge
150. And that would get it fully ported including as much of the inner plenum as i could, entire ports, siamese the tb soda blast etc. Maybe tuffluv has some pix of his. A shop has to meet its bottom line but imo 250 is nuts. Good profit on a 10/hr laborer though

Thanks, Corvette tax maybe....
Speaking of Siamese....Is that best or to just go with the size of the TB used in an application like mine?

No need to unless you want every little bit imo. Think its worth 200 if youre getting a rreal port job and not just a cleanup that looks the part. Carbed intakes are usually much more e
