I am using a 89 corvette turn signal lever (one of the few gm levers with cruise and without wiper controls) on a 67 camaro with a 2000 camaro ls1 and 2001 s10 cruise module. I need to know what the 4 wires coming out of the lever functions are. I was hoping some one here could help me out, if anoyone could tell me which wire the 12V feed to the switch is i could figure out the rest with a multimeter. Thanks for the help!
Hey Hooked it is leaps w/the 89 drop top. You were very helpful with sort out my fan speed module a few weeks ago and I was hoping you may be able to help me with another problem with my cruise control. Problem is, I found that the small flat male connector on the end of the 4 conductor cruise control wires is hanging in free air on the side of the steering column and I am having a hard time finding its' mate. Do you know where it can be located? Thanks leaps!

I wondered why you might have tagged on to this 5 year old thread but then I found your other thread regarding cruise! I thought maybe a post with the image of the connector and the one from the FSM for location might help but then I thought I remembered you having the FSM so I thought that was useless. I've never had a problem putting a "hands on" and the connector is in a similar location with all GM's of the time before the wiper was moved to the column.
The wire from the stop light switch I believe should be DARK BLUE to the C280 connector, try to follow the wire from the SLS to the C280 connector.
If this is like the image in your '89 FSM it's exactly like I would expect. I don't have an '89, this is from similar. The image in an '89 would be in the 8A-201- somewhere!! The C280 is so dissimilar in appearance from the other connectors I would think it an "easy find". Apparently NOT or you wouldn't be here LOL
