Will Our Clear Tops Block UV's?
I was wondering if anyone knew if the Clear tops block out UV Rays?

Never heard of one, but if there was, it would be very expensive.

I mean the Blue or Gray tinted ones. Not a solid top.

I know, but call Melrose or another top manufacturer.

I think the tinted tops on C4s will block most short-wavelength UV, but they surely don't block infrared radiation. My LT4 car gets WAY hotter with the transparent top installed than it does with the painted top on the car.

Temps inside were way cooler with the hard top quieter too. Id bet stiffer a bit also but who knows.

Funny you should ask that. As I was baking in my car the other day the same thought crossed my mind. My top has several large cracks in it so I'm getting a new one. I've decided I'm gonna go with a fiberglass top as a replacement and skip the acrylic one. If I want to look up and see the sun I'll take the top off.

The frame is what bolts to the car, not the top part. So it should be the same.

The part the top (acrylic or fiberglass) is glued to which is the metal piece you are puting the 4 bolts into.
