Driver side Power Window noise
On my 96 LT1, when I open my driver's side window there is a horrible cracking sound when the window is about 1/4 open from the top. It sounds like glass on metal or something solid. Does anyone have any experience with these doors? I think it may be off track, or a loose regulator. I will remove the door cover and take a look. Are there many problems with these doors? I will update on what I find!

When you say glass on metel only one thing comes to mind.. Either the outside top window seal padding has worn through or the pads that hold the glass even and steady in the track are worn out.. If you don't replace these soon you will have scratched glass to look at.. I just ordered both from Wilcox Corvette last week and just installed them..You just have to take the inside cover off the door to do it.. 1 to 1 1/2 hour job...WW
