Need Info
i have a1986 c-4 smog pump locked up can i remove this without getting any goffy codes check engine lights etc i had planned to remove catalectic converter to install a header exhast system anyhow.I know i will have to install a shorter sepertene belt

If it is because the carbon blades have disintegrated and have jammed, take it apart and use a needle nose plier to snap off the rest of the blades and clean the thing up. This should free it up. If it is the bearing, this obviously won't help.
