AC Compressor Bracket question
Hi everyone. My 87 failed inspection because of a "loose bolt in the AC Compressor" and I have since discovered that the aforementioned bolt is loose because the threading in the bracket is actually stripped. I then found out that the factory bracket for my Vette has been discontinued. My question is, does anybody know what other year C4 brackets will fit an 87? My Auto Tech teacher also suggested that maybe GM used the same bracket on all of its 1987 cars so if there is any truth to that it would be great.

I think my 85 uses the same kind of bracket. The hole was stripped on mine too. I got a little longer bolt and put a nut on it. There was a little interference between the nut and the serpentine belt so I ground off part of the nut. Not very sexy but it works until I get around to a helicoil fix.
