Need Help with A/C Compressor T/S
The A/C on my 85 stopped working. The compressor does not engage. I checked voltage at the compressor connector and saw no volts with A/C on or off. The compressor is fairly new so I'm assuming it is good. I checked the FSM and could not find any troubleshooting procedures for the electrical to the compressor. Anyone have an idea where to start?

The fsm has chapters and chapters devoted to troubleshooting the hvac system. As previously mentioned, it is usually low freon that results in a dead ac system. Either get a gauge (inexpensive at autoparts stores) or jump the low pressure switch for a couple of seconds to see if the clutch activates.

If you install jumper wire to low pressure switch connector compressor will start pumping, your problem is that it has nothing to pump.
Low pr. sw. doesn't let voltage rich compressor if pressure is low (you probably have 0)
