Welcome, sorry to hear you have this problem. Once the power goes away so does your programing and the car can run like crap if it is in marginal tune has components issues [Codes] ?
Be advised Electrical troubleshooting theses cars is not simple and is not easy. Diagnosing electrical problems without tools, a little electrical understanding, and schematics is going to be a real hit and miss proposition.
We'll see what we can do?
Get a Volt meter that will read 12v or a neaon lamp tester .
Use the voltage setting for 12v or more and go hunting
Take the side panel covering the battery. If your model is like my '89, you'll see a " jump start stud " below and behind the battery. Almost all the cars circuits get power at this point, from the battery.
Disconnect all and take the meter or lamp and jump between the + battery terminal and each of the wires that had been connected, individually .
The one that "lights Up" will be the culprit.
Reconnect only the one that lights up and go to the fuse block.
Pull the fuses one at a time and "read " from the fuse stabs to ground
[ and good metal frame connected part]
That will tell you that the wire you found powers the fuse block
The read across the two stabs . When you have a circuit you might just have the problem .
You can then repeat this process at the fuse block.

PS: FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE!!!! Where are you? Help might be down the street or just a block away.
