Default Throttle Valve Cable

My father and I are in a bit of a knot. We at some point ended up cutting the TV cable (or kickdown cable) on the '93 corvette and we CANNOT find the right TV cable for my car which has a 4L60 transmission. I've found a few that looks appropriate but my father keeps saying it won't fit on the vette, has to be specifically for the vette and not "generalized".

Any tips you can give us? I really need to get a TV cable and I can't find one anywhere at all. Can we just use a general TV cable because my father isn't sure if it will just go in the vette properly since the end of the TV cable is a bit different.

Good luck with this one, your Dad is correct that the cable is unique to Corvette. The combination throttle/TV cable with ASR that you need was only used on 92 and 93 model years. The GM part numbers are 10163848 for the 92 and 10215862 for the 93, as far as I know they are both discontinued.
Your best bet would be someone who specializes in used Vette parts such as forum vendor Vette2vette.com.
