Default Hello All

This whats going on i have an 84 vet it came with the crossfire i recently took that off and put a holley on it with elderbrock intake changed the distributor and put a fuel regulator on it it works great no probs with anything at first now i dont think this problem i am having is because of my changes because it didnt happen right away my transmission is automatic and it wont shift any i higher than 2nd but if you are in drive it will kick down if you floor it but say you put it in 3rd it just revsss like you were in neutrul . also after i changed the crossfire i drove and it drove great shifted and all and i figured with my changes it would have happened right away not a couple weeks later any thoughts thank trav

You burnt up the 3-4 clutchpack.
If the tv cable was not set up properly, with the correct brackets for that carb, and/or it was not adjusted properly, that may be the root of the problem.
Regardless, trans will require a total overhaul, or replacement, as will your torque converter.
I strongly recommend learning all about how the tv system works, and installing the correct parts to prevent you from frying the new transmission.
