Oh if you haven't replaced the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm you might want to while its apart. Mine had to be replaced soon after I had it all back together. Talk about Pissed
When I replaced my injectors, I also replaced the EGR, IMTS, CTS and FPR as well. All for around $150 additional. Cheap insurance IMHO.
Well, 6 hours later and a broken dist cap screw later they are in. Seems to have solved the problems. I had already thoroughly cleaned the EGR valve and no one in town had one in stock so I did not change it. I had put a new IAC on it last weekend so that is new. I did take the runners off because I could see evidence of them leaking. While we had it apart my buddy who was helping me decided that we should check the dist cap and rotor "just in case" they looked ok so we went to put it back on and one of the screws broke so we had to drill it out and tap the hole. Luckily we made the run to Lowe's for the tap just before they closed.
Car runs much better and idles way better than before. I have been babying it in order to let the ECM relearn. Wife and I put about 50 miles on it today and it did not stumble once! Tomorrow I will run it a little harder.
Only lost part was that stupid retainer clip that holds the cruise linkage on the throttle body.
