Default c5 brake upgrade parts problem

Just ordered all the parts from GM parts direct for my 86 coupe but the caliper brackets are back ordered with shipping date unknown. Anybody know where to get these? Thanks.

You mean the caliper abutment brackets? These are the ones that fit over the rotors and hold the calipers by the guide pins.

They should be available at any dealer. There is no difference between the 97 thru 2004 parts or the Z06 piece.

Do you have the custom adapter bracket to mount the abutment bracket to the knuckle??

Default Bracket

If it's the bracket that holds the caliper, you can get it from exotic muscle.

Chevy dealer says no one in the area has them in stock. Special order so back to the same problem. Guess I'll call exotic muscle, their web site is down. Thanks for the suggestion.

Like Cruiser said, if are talking the Abutment Brackets, I just got mine from Chris at Superior Chevrolet. http://www.superchevyperformance.com The Abutment Bracket part number is 12455799, same for both sides. These bolt to the Custom Adapter Bracket and then to the Knuckle as Cruiser also said. You do have the Custom Adapter Brackets, right? These are not available through the dealer. Is this the bracket you are referring to?

The Abutment Bracket part number is 12455799 is on national back order. Even the dealers can't get them right now. I have the adapter brackets and everything else I need. I have a pair of abutment brackets on order but the shipping date is still unknown.

Try one of the used parts places like vette2vette?
get used ones, run a wire brush over them, paint with high temp caliper paint and your done.

I got mine just from some guy parting out his C5 on the C5 forum. $15 apiece.
