Jacobs ignition
Is there anyone out there that has had luck with using a JACOBS IGNITION on a VETTE?
i have a Ignition and was wondering if anyone has had any luck putting one on ?

I had one on my LT1 for a while, high quality wires(which are still on the car.) I can't say that I noticed much difference when the car ran well to start with. I took it off when I started having misfiring problems to ease the troubleshooting and never reinstalled it. The Jacobs had nothing at all to do with the misfire, it was opti related.

Jacobs makes a good system, but if your engine is stock, you won't see much benefit from aftermarket systems like Jacobs or MSD. The factory coil puts out enough voltage for even some mild mods and after that, just a good set of plugs, wires, and distributor cap and rotor.

I had a full Jacobs System on my car.
I set it up on a switch to change from stock to the Jacobs by flipping 2 switches and changing the coil wire from the stock to the Jacobs.
I ran several passes at the track one night each way and really couldn't see a difference in them.
When the Jacobs coil crapped out on me, I bought a new coil, but then decided to take the whole system off and just leave the stock one on.
