One other item to consider. If you have ever had it removed, which you have for a clutch replacement, you must use the washers. I've seen cases where someone did not use them and at first glance it would appear to be tight but upon close inspection the metal head of the bolt had damaged the aluminum C beam and had 'wallowed' out that area. Either way, its got something to do with the C beam bolts or C beam itself.
That is basically what was wrong with mine. I either forgot to install the washers, or they where missing when I removed the transmission.
I made a flat steel plate and gave it to a welder friend of mine to weld some nuts on it. Hopefully it will work. I may need to get some 1/4" longer bolts.
But that was defiantly the issue. The head of the bolts where sunk into the aluminum C-beam.
on the subject of washers under the head of the bolts, I went with stainless steel washers; just ever so slightly less thick than regular steel washers, but every tiny bit helps.
which wouldn't be necessary if longer bolts are available, but I found none. hope your search is more successful; please post a supplier if you find one. Lots of luck
