Try Eckler's or Mid America. I don't have them but I've been told they will give a slight hp gain and that is one of my planned mods. Eckler's Spring catalog pg 165, price $159.99. Mid America catalog 142b pg4-22 price $99.99.
I have the March AMP series and have had no charging problems yet. About gains I can't say. SOTP was zill but the motor does rev faster. Every bit helps in my book :D
Added the March set to my 85. Did gain HP. Only problem I have is at idle the power steering pump is not turning fast enough to provide enough assistance. If you bring the RPM up above 650 the problem goes away. Currently mine idles at 600. No problems with charging or A/C.
I like this mod. Recorded a 13.916 in 1/4 after this mod and doing the TB coolant bypass. Next time I will do 1 mod at time an head to the track.

Friend,
I have just the crank underdrive pulley. At idle, even with the lights off, it will drain the battery. I would recommend the two pulley system with the larger alternator pulley to avoid this.
I'm thinking of ordering the 3 PC Pulley set as well as the Air Pump Eliminator kit, can I use the existing size belt or do I need a new size?
Magoo, don't quote me but I thought that there were only 2 pulley kits for our early C4s? The air pump eliminator is nice, but not worth the $160. It cleans up the engine bay nicely though. :)

Re: (scorp508)
Scorp it'a a 3 PC Pulley set. Crankshaft Pulley, Alternator Pulley and Water Pump pulley.
$160.00? Narrrrrr that's for the Black Anodized finish...........I'm going with the Polished finish for $170.00. :jester
It is expensive but it does clean everything up, if I get any performance out of it it's a plus..............but I doubt it.
The Eliminator does not affect the size of belt you need but the pullies will. If you get the March pully set it will give you a part # for the belt. I have the list at home with the right #s for the 86 2 and 3 pulley set :D
