Default Nitrous installation

I'd like to know people's nitrous installation setups. I've heard of people placing the bottle in the spare tire carrier and using a remote valve. A few questions...does the nitrous bottle have to face the front of the vehicle? I was thinking of putting it sideways at the rear of the hatch for space reasons. I just don't want it to interfere with the targa top when it's in the hatch. If I can have a setup that won't interfere with the targa, I'd love to hear how.

Thanks in advance

Jerry

Nitrous is going on that super rammed motor? I know numerous people said the SR with a wet nos kit is grounds for kaboom! The SR is like a big combustion chamber(so I'm told anyway) and you shouldn't use a wet kit. Bill C on the C5 board(had a Lingenfelter 420 C4) used a dry system...it was small(100 shot I think) and He never had a problem.

I have my bottle installed sideways bolted through the door to the storage area. It does not interfere with the rollbar or when I have the rollbar out the targa top. Make sure with the bottle sideways you point the pickup toward the back of the bottle at a 30 deg angle from the bottom. As far as the problem with the bottle being hidden I just cut the bottom out of a gym bag and slip it over the bottle. I learned this little trick from a ZR-1 guy on this forum. Without raising the hood you can't tell it's on the bottle.
