Tech 1 scanner,how do I use it?
One of the members was nice enough to let me borrow his Tech 1 scanner but cant figure out how to use it.The ABS system in my 91 isnt working and would like to pull the code so I know where the problem is.I hook the scanner up,put all the info on my car into the scanner and then the scanner asks for the ABS adapter,am I missing something here?

The way I understand it, is that the Tech-1 requires specific modules, depending on the vehicle youre troubleshooting.
Ive been looking (unsuccessfully) for a Tech-1 also, as practically every troubleshooting step in the factory service manual uses the Tech-1 output to determine the next troubleshooting step.
back to your original question, I think you need the Bosch ABS adapter. Try looking for Bosch ABS Adapter P/N TA00022. This is supposed to be compatible with 90-91 Y bodies (Vettes!)

As mentioned you will need the correct Bosch ABS diagnostic cartridge or a mass storage cartridge with the correct updates. Here is a link that may help, good luck.
