Default steering wheel

Does the wheel lock when you use the tilt wheel function?

Fixed for readability.

Is it a Factory column, or something aftermarket?

This is common on these cars because people use the wheel as leverage to get their big butts out.

Thanks

You might need a new circular navigational maneuvering device column.

You can pull the covers off and take a look at the tilt lock. As memory serves, there are 2 bars to lock it in. Alot of times one of the bars "slides" out and causes this problem. The other times the housing breaks and needs to be replaced. Easy fix if you have the tools and patience. Of course you can always take it to a shop to have it fixed.

Call some of the local body shops. They will have someone that repairs steering columns for theft/recoveries. Should run you about $150-200 based on what my guy tells me.
