I am putting together an LT1 for my 84' and i was wondering about injectors. I have been told stock #24's are going to be pretty much maxed out with my mods. I will be running a stock bottom end LT1 that uses the later Vented opti, it will utilize 12551561 heads (gasket matched intake), a mildly ported intake, cc503 cam, full roller rockers(aluminum), long tube headers into 3" catback, custom CAI, Stock opti with MSD cap+rotor. I have been told to run 30lb injectors, i found a set of yellowtop SVO injectors on ebay that were pretty cheap. I have heard a lot about the red top SVO's as well. I'm not sure of the difference though. What are a good pick for an injector? Also do i need to upgrade past a stock LT1 fuel pump? do i need an FPR as well? Thanks!

yellow top SVO's? What you saw were modified injectors. They work fine as long as they were done properly. The AFPR is not necessary as long as you have the right size injector. The LT1 stock FPR is a good unit.

These are one of the few "yellow top" sets i found..
those are volvo injectors they are 310 cc at 3bar. So they are a little smaller than the red top which is 320cc at 39.15psi or 2.85 bar. They were never sold by Ford for their SVO. Which means special vehicle operations.. Now called ford racing.. They will work except the spray pattern is a little wide. for the price they might be worth it.

they are used and probably can use a refurb because they have the 14.5mm ford o rings on them, which will cost you 89. We have brand new flow matched red tops for 279 shipped with the gm o rings.

I would deff be all over that if i had the money. I don't have $279 to spend on injectors. Maybe $150, but i would like to spend around $100. Do you have any good used stuff? This engine has already taken my wallet and dumped it several times now. haha
