TPS voltage question...
I am getting different numbers from several sources on the tps voltage on my 91. Some say .54v at idle and 5v at full throttle is correct. I have read that .6v at idle and 4.5 at idle is correct. My tps could not adjust to more than 4.3v at full throttle. So I bought a new tps thinking that It was defective. The new tps won't adjust more than 4.4v full throttle. What is the correct settings?and should I be getting more than 4.4v?

Sounds good to me, the manuals say .54v +/- .08v. At WOT it should be approx 5v not 5v exact. I have mine set to .64 and 4.5x wot, the .64 is .1 over normal operating range and has not thrown a code from there. I tried higher .66^ and got a code.

The ECM needs to see something over 4.0 volts to go into closed loop mode. I am not sure exactly how much over 4.0 volts, but mine is very similar (settings) to yours and does indeed go into closed loop.

It just needs to see 4v. From there it is mapping off the MAF sensor or the Mass Air Flow, which ever year your car is. Don't try and set it for the WOT it will do that on its on. Idle should be around 1/2 volt, (.50) .54 is were I set mine at.
