Canton oil pan clearance
Has anyone else had a 15-240T Canton oil pan get hit by the crank? I started up my engine and noticed a light tapping in the oil pan area. Before putting things back together I attached the pan with a few bolts and ran the starter. There was no noise! However with the car running there is. Common for interference by the oil filter so I will check there first. Anyone's pan get hit other places?
R&R of the pan is a PITA!

I have the Canton RR pan for Gen1 sbc with driver's side dipstick and 2-piece main seal and I don't have issues with a 3.75" crank. I know above that, there is.
What crank are you running?
I use a blue felpro with steel insert 1 piece seal. It is pretty thick. Maybe that is what makes the difference?

I have the stock crank in there yet. 6" rod but I didn't see any problems there. Looked like counter weight on the crank hit by the filter, that's clearanced now but there is still a tapping. I have that gasket too, it's a really nice piece!

Here is where it was hitting the side by the oil filter:
I think it's also hitting here (right in the middle) but I haven't finish checking, I'm going to paint it and see what get scrapped. It was shifted pretty far toward the drivers side, I checked the bolt marks on the pan for evidence.
