89 not running properly
Hey guys,
Heres the problem I have, the car had the check engine light come on and then died shortly there after. I had it taken to the sop where it was decided it needed new injectors and the mass sensor and something with the ignition. That fixed most of the problems but this last one has been elusive at best. The engine doesn't want to run at first. You have to give it Throttle to start it and let that rev for a bit before it will stay running and often times it still dies once the rpms drop say at a stop sign or even while it's moving down the road if I let off the peddle. Anyone have anything similar happen to them and if so what ease the fix? I am wondering if the cat's are crumbling and clogging something. As far as the car goes it is completely stock with 32000 original miles on it. I appreciate the input!

The converter is suspect but I think you'd see other symptoms if that was the case. Your situation seem similar to the problems I was having which were resolved by replacing the computer module.
