What would this do for my 85?
Opps that should be what would this do for my 85.
Here is the set-up that I am leaning towards. Keep in mind I have the crappy cast iron heads and I have completely redone my suspension with all new top quality parts.
By the way I have the 700r4 with the performance rear axel, 3.07 gears, and Z51 suspention.
here it is: vortec heads (pending opels feedback), SD base, accel large tube runners, ported plenium (whole intake gasket matched and SD intake ported a bit), 52 mm Throttle body (my original needs replacing anyways), slp ram air kit, gutted MAF, TPIS headers to a gutted cat, flowmasters, smog elimination kit. Would I need a new chip? I am doing all the work myself. I am also going to put a mild cam in and have my engine rebuilt .30 over to make a nice new 355. Would this get me to the 12's with a good driver? My friend just fixed up his camaro and another friend fixed up his mustang and now I am the slowest of the bunch and it is making me :mad . I will have the money to do this job myself this summer so I thought I should start my reasearch. Any imput wanted (negative or possitive). Thanks.

Sounds :cool: ... waiting to see if somebody easily modifies a Stealth Ram to fit under a stock hood. If all that is needed is to shorten the plenum and/or base then I'll probably go with that setup. I'm also saving my pennies to build a 383 with AFR190's :)

I have not forgot about you and the other people that are waiting for the dyno numbers. But I am still having transmission troubles. My friend that has the dyno said next week would be best for the before runs and the week after for the after runs. I'll keep you posted.
