I have a friend selling an Ostrich 2.0 but he used it for hondas/acuras. Would I be able to use it with my obd1 '88 Vette? Is there anything Id have to get to make it work as far as cables go? Other than the aldl - usb cable I mean.

Yes
The Ostrich comes with it's own cable to connect to a car computer. You need the correct adapter for the cable end to fit into your computer http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...products_id=32
( assume your buddy has one to fit a Honda )

ALDL cable is for datalogging.
Required for tuning so you can see what the engine is doing and the results of the changes you make but not part of the Ostrich setup.
Ostrich is only there to carry the engine tune ( that you can now easily change ) that was on the chip in the computer
