Default Crossfire Help Needed

My 84 is in the shop because it is running poorly, hesitating, almost sounds like it's missing and has no power, it won't even shift out of second gear at full throttle. The shop started to work on it and found it was leaking at the intake manifold. I am a newbie, there are a couple of things I don't understand and they have my shop manual. There is an upper and lower manifold? They said there is a plate that the throttle bodies sit on and it might be warped as this happens commonly in Crossfires? They also said this part wasn't available anymore and I was wondering if I could get one fabricated or how I could find one. I was also wanting a Renegade manifold and was wondering if this takes care of the plate.

I had an 84' for 13 years and never heard of the Intake top plate warping.Maybe the bolts are just loose. It's a pretty stout piece of Aluminum don't see it warping.I ran the X-Ram

And yes, the Renegade will replace the entire Crossfire Manifold.Might be a blessing this happened as it really is a terrible design for an Intake.

I had the same problem with the car runnng like crap. Drove me nuts. Ended up being the rubber hose from the fuel filter to the sending unit in the tank. 24 year old rubber soaked in gas made the hose like a black sponge material. leaked like a siv. new piece of hose and rns like a champ.

I just bought the Renegade. This is my second upgrade, the first was B&Bs. They drove me crazy when I first bought them but now I love them. They're really quiet going 70.
The 84 is a totally different animal, hard to get advice.
I'm not sure this is going to fix the car, but I have been wanting the Renegade and didn't want to have any issues. I will probably get my throttle bodies bored and the free bushing service too, I can't get the manifold until the end of July, don't want to pay for the same repair twice.
Thanks everybody for your help!
