Default 1993 Opti purchase option

Some of the options I'm looking at ar MSD, dynaspark, Deltec, and stock GM. Searching the post I see negative things about MSD, and dynaspark, but they are all older post. How are they now? If you had to buy one this week, what would be your choice of ditributor, and why?
Thanks!

I would get a delco opti or accel, I have had good luck with both. I am going to buy a MSD cap and rotor, so I can vent the opti.

I would not buy a MSD, just do a search and you will see why.

Make sure and glue a hose to the weep hole on the opti and you will never lose a opti to coolant.

Vent a stock GM opti replacement.
Be very careful putting the replacement on!

I just put in a MSD opti in my 93 this month. So far the engine is running great with it. The venting kit is included and was real easy to install.

What about the Delteq Opti-Direct system? I'm seriously considering getting this. http://www.delteq.com/

It seems like Delteq has had some problems. May be going out of bussiness, or at least unstable. Has anyone made contact with those folks recently? If they go away, so will any support.

Put in an MSD Opti in my '94 a little over a year ago, (6,000 miles), along with a new water pump. No problems. The one I replaced was a GM opti installed at the Chevy dealer which lasted 7,000 miles. The new water pump which was installed with the GM opti leaked at the shaft wiping out the opti. The MSD looks to be excellent quality. Heard that the original MSD opti's had problems that they seem to have resolved.

I can say MSD support is very good.I have a 93 lt1 had a code 36 sent it back to MSD Within the year 12 months of purchase. No questions they went through the Dist. and repaired it. I believe the new Msd have all the bugs worked out. Which ever one you buy check the support. At around $500. or so vary important in my opinion.
