Has anyone installed one of these and used a remote coil? If so how did it work out? I've already got an MSD 6 and am thinking about changing the distributer.

Thanks

You just buy the large to small cap adapter harness ($20 )
http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonn..._pigtails.aspx

that allows you to plug your large HEI harness plug into the small cap dist connector so no cut / splice needed and you can return to stock dist anytime

Have to use a small cap dist if installing a HSR intake.

Oh yeah...I forgot about that website. From the pic, it would seem something is missing. Afterall, a small cap has two plug-ins. The $60 kits I've seen on eBay and TPI_Parts include something else -- but, apparently, they are overpriced! LOL

There are other small-caps that don't run (nearly) as much as the MSD unit btw.

I've got an 8366. Nice unit, works well. I called Jimsperformance.com and got the pair of pigtails for something like 25$, that was a while ago though.

Tell him your setup and he'll set you up, I used the 8366 with a Blaster 3 coil and an MSD 6al.

You also need the dist coil plug ( pink and white wires ) to hook up the remote coil ;IIRC $12
Mike @ Eficonnection has those also but are not shown on that page.
You just tell him what you want to do and he sorts you out .Excellent service

You can use any small cap dist from a L98 F-Body or early '90's TBI truck. 8366 is just a more expensive version of them

When I was shopping for the small cap dizzy I was going to get the MSD. Then ended up going to Advance Auto and got one for a 92 Camaro, $99. Very pleased with it. I also got the harness from EFI, very easy to deal with. Ordered it and a couple of days later had it in hand.
