Default problem after a long drive

so i have been having this problem ever since it started getting hot out

i will drive for a decent amount of time say 30 to 40 min
i will park and shut the car off..

say i go into a store come out and get in to start the car again i will turn the key and no crank..i would hear like a loud click but no crank at all..

wait 15 minutes try again and it starts right up..

whats the problem??

It's not VATS, there would be no power to the starter. My vote is heat soak

Vats would give no click. Shield the starter with starter wrap from Summit.

I had that same symptom it turned out being the starter. Rap you're starter first.

Time for a new starter, pretty simple repair not too expensive.
