Getting list of parts I need , and long pipe headers are one of them..My bugdet isn't much and this car isn't my daily driver so want be in snow or rain..
Been looking at Hedman headers but I keep seeing headers with dif types of bends in them and they all say the fit 84

so im looking for ones with least amount of bends?
some help plz
Are you trying to replace a damaged part or just trying to pick up some more power? If you give us more information, we can give you better advice.
Well the exhaust is falling off the car, I have a guy that is going to replace the exhaust from the front to rear ($600)
He will remove the old cat and by pass it and install some type of high flow mufflers (not sure what type ) I ask him about installing a X as well told me he could just cost bit more in labor..
So yes im replacing / looking to gain more out of it.. since Im already doing this I was thinking why not go ahead and redo the whole thing..
No clue what to do about the o2..
The car sat for 4 to 7 yrs (I was told 4 but looking at the files I have on the car its more like 7) So the past month was spent replacing anything small that had stop working ect..
My plans for the car was nothing crazy, just mod the intake ,maybe some dif rockers, fix the exhaust , tires are bald so wheels/tires for a updated look, some type cold air intake..
Then fix the inside of the car... nothing to crazy.. Been doing alot of reading and asking questions on the forums ,Was told get the car running right first (tuned) Then the exhaust.. so here I am asking
Was driving down the highway and lost part of the "Cat" the other day ,thank god nobody was behind me .. Car has been garaged till I get exhaust fixed..

Those 2 items would give you a header-back stainless system - less converter of course, but you were going to omit that anyways. You can always add a converter later.
Optionally, here are the Walker "direct replacement" parts at Rock Auto:

They also carry the rear Y-pipe # 40305 for $80.99, and you can hang any bolt-on muffler you like on there. You can also do this yourself in the garage to save the labor cost since there's no welding required.
To me and for what OEM type mufflers are selling for (about $200 each!) I'd just buy a set of Flowmasters since they run about $150 each at Jegs or Summit for the direct replacements (425501-L & 425501-R, left and right mufflers).
if you can swing it the hedmen elites are a excellent choice. I think they run about $350.00 from summit.
68440, 68448 I think are a couple of the part numbers...

stainless dual exhaust..http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette?frame=1.928
cheap hedmens non coated..http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-68440/
Hedmen Elites http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-68448/
o2 is easy... just get a bung welded into the collector and screw in the sensor

The Hedman 68448's (or the 68446) will work fine assuming you are going to dump the AIR stuff. Hedman also makes versions with hookups for AIR too. Hedman even makes a reducer with an O2 bung already installed so you don't have to cut a hole in a collector and screw up the coating.
You definitely want an X-pipe in the system; it can go where the main cat would be located. 2-1/4" pipe should work fine for your car.
With headers and true duals, the car will be loud if you get the wrong mufflers. Flowmaster 40's will create tons of interior resonance. I would look at Magnaflow, Corsa, or Borla mufflers.
When doing the header install, be careful when removing the dipstick tube. It's easy to break off where it enters the block. You will also need to remove the starter to get the passenger side header in place. Then the starter can go back in. Once the header is bolted up, the OEM starter will not come out without loosening up the header. Mini-starters
You will have to modify the rear alternator brace and the rear A/C brace. Do a search on "headers" and there are threads that have pics of installs that show the modded braces.
This would be a good time for new plugs, wires, and a cap and rotor. Get wires that are designed for routing for headers and use some sort of loom to keep them in place. Try "Made For You" looms..
