Default ZF6 Linkage Pin problem

I have a 1992 Corvette six speed but with an updated ZF transmission (one without the reverse lockout ****). The car also has a Mcleod Super Street pro Clutch and Single Mass Flywheel.

My problem is a linkage pin keeps falling out and prevents from shifting in all the gears. You can see the pin from under the car when it is up on jack stands. it is on the driver side of the transmission. It took about 3k miles for it to happen the first time. It occurred when I put the car in reverse then i went to shift into first and there felt like there was nothing there and empty. like there were no gears at all. Then i had it fixed at the shop that put the new trans in. They said the called GM people and they said the fix for this was to "glue" it in place. I got the car back the next day (for which the glue had curred). With in two hours the pin worked its way out again. Have any of you had this happen or know anyone and what do you do to fix it?

Thanks!

if we're talking about the same pin, on my 96 the pin is captured by a wire ring that prevents it from working out.

p.s. forget glue...if you ever want something to not work out...use JB Weld...and if you do ever want to get it out, heat it with a small propane torch just to the point that the epoxy softens.
