Default Rear wheels/Spring

When I jack up the rear of the car, the rear wheels droop/roll under to where the back end of the car is 2' or better in the air before the tires even think of coming off the ground. Is this normal or is something in the suspension like the monospring worn out?

That sounds normal. When the car is on the ground weight on the wheels does it look to have negative camber? Is the camber symetrical? Does it look like normal ride height?

You can always sponge off the spring and look/feel for cracks.

Normal. The strut rods are not parallel to the halfshafts so as the rear suspension goes through it's travel, the camber changes from negative when the rear is loaded to positive when the rear is unloaded.

Thanks guys, I was just curious. When it sits on the ground everything is fine. Its just hard to get the tire off the ground and made me wonder about it.

How are you jacking it up? I jack my rear tires one at a time via the stock jacking location. Doesn't take too long to get the tire off the ground.

I use the standard jack location. Just seems like its way high before the wheel clears the ground. I would hafta take the tire off before I set it on the jack stands I would think unless I want the car way off the ground.
