Well, as a wise man at work said, "Stop dicking around with S**t that won't make your car run!". SO, I'm putting the A/C resto on hold in favor of spending that money elsewhere in the meantime. I ride around with the windows down anyway.
I installed the heater core so I can button up the a/c duct system behind the dash and put all of that back together, that I never have to take it apart again. Only thing I will need to add will be the items in engine compartment, such as the compressor, condensor, evap core, accumulator, and various hard lines and hoses.
I've seen A/C delete pulleys for around $40 for TPI F bodies. Wondering if these same pulleys are applicable to Corvette drive belt accessory setups?
Okay, got the A/C delete pulley. Hardened plastic pulley as expected. Nothing against our Chinese brethren but with the slew of bad press for their products, I turned over the aluminum casting to see "China" stamped on it.
Anyone else running this particular A/C delete pulley? It's in the same range as the TPIS delete pulleys, which also use a plastic pulley, I'm sure theirs and all of them are made in China. Will just be on a plane jane L98 so I don't foresee problems with it.
