Electric problems-- help
Today on the way back from the lake I noticed my climate control readout was flashing, i had a whine from te CD player, the lights dimmed when the signal was on, the display wasnt solid, and when i turned the car off it said 10.7V. What the heck? Batt is less than a year old, alt is about 4 mon. the display had a "wave" type power surge thing going on. In traffic voltage was normal. Whats the deal?

You have symptoms of an alternator not charging, all but your, "normal driving volts". The climate control chases its tail on low voltage and 10.7 battery volts is from a discharged battery or a battery with a shorted cell. Charge the battery back up with your home charger and measure the terminal volts with a portable voltmeter, it should read 13.2 volts after charging and the battery sitting for an hour. Any reading above 12.0 volts shows the state of charge, 12 to 13.2, 0% to 100%. Your red battery symbol on the dash should have lit up. I suspect an alternator that just fudged its knickers.
