I posted yesterday about what believe is a fuel caused problem with my 84 Corvette. Tomorrow I plan on picking up a fuel filter and installing it. But if that fails I'm looking at having the injectors serviced at http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/ in reading about servicing the injectors I find this statement "Before performing any service on the front or rear TBI unit, you must place the unit in a suitable holding fixture such as J-9789-118, BT-30-15, or equivalent. If you dont place the unit in a suitable fixture, the throttle valve may be damaged."
Can someone clue me in to what this might be? Or if really needed. Also could I just remove the injectors with the throttle bodies in place.

Thanks, Al
both of those tools are carb stands. You don't need to remove the whole TB from the manifold. You can remove the injector pods and send them in with the regulators on or you can remove the injectors by removing the small torx screws, pull off the cover and remove the injectors. Don't worry about the gaskets or o rings. we will supply you with new ones with the injector serv.

Great, thanks for the information. I'll try getting to them tomorrow.
