Default LT1 fuel line questions

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions, I'm building a Jeep YJ with a 96 LT1 out of a vette. First question, Is there a kit that will move the fuel lines to exit to the drivers side ? Can I use rubber fuel lines?. Second question (ok 3rd) The donor car had the fuel filter near the engine, the stock jeep is closer to the tank, does it matter where I put it?

Here is the Jeep build link:

One more, What the heck is this and where on the LT1 does it go, can't see it in the 100 pics I took while I was tearing it apart.

Thanks Rick

I posted over there for you about the fuel line.

I'd rethink the LT1 in a YJ unless it was street only. Are you not concerned about the Opti getting wet?

Many Jeeps have LT1's. not worried...

I think the bracket I pictured is a plug wire holder, I installed the plug wires just a few moments ago and can't see were it would have gone, or is really needed. I did restore it as the picture shows.

Who will give me $100 bucks for it !!

Check out the rails from other LT1's
The intake I have has drv side exit and IIRC that came off a Impala or Caprice
See eBay item # 180446330235

These adapters allow you to connect -6 AN fittings with either rubber (AN barb fittings ) or s/s braided line to the stock LTX rails

Really? I didnt know that. makes me feel better about the doom and gloom about the opti!

Your project sounds like its going to be a lot of fun!

Seems like a lot of folks on here (CF) have Jeeps.
