I was spraying down my engine compartment with water... after i finished i noticed that i had forgoten to tighten my driver side valve cover (i was trying to remove it but was unsuccesfull and accedently forgot to tighten it back up), long story short while spraying down my motor im sure alot of water got under and into my valve cover and onto my head (since it wasnt boted down). the battery was disconnected when this happend....
did i hurt my motor?
i havnet started it and am planing on letting it dry out for a few days and then change the oil to be sure i dont have any water in it, is this the proper thing to do? or do i need to take the head off?

OOPS...you have the right idea, drain crankcase, refill, run engine for a few minutes and check oil for a milky sign, if so.. drain again. Do this until all signs of water have been removed.
