Default Electric Seat Retrofit

What complications are there with trying to retrofit an electric seat for the Passenger side? My car has it for the driver side but not passenger. TIA

I did this project on my 90... I wasn't too hard. You need to get the power seat rail, and a set of dual switches with the wiring harness. One complication I faced was getting the correct color of switch. It's been in place for several years and works well.

This one? Will it work for 91?

The plugs to the seat motors will be the same from '88-'96. Yes, the plugs to the seat motors on the ebay item will work but I can't say if the power plug would connect in the console. Does anyone know if the power plug in the console changed from '91 to '92? Maybe a search in some of the parts catalogs will give that answer if nobody knows.

There are differences in color for 90 through 93...90 is grey with orange lettering while later years changed to black with white lettering. As long as your car came with a power driver seat this a fairly easy and worthwhile upgrade.

Thanx.

Now how to fix the seat part? Just get the power rails and the rest should fall in place?

The seat part is very easy...
  1. remove the seat 4 bolts...
  2. remove the manual adjustment 4 nuts...
  3. install power seat rail using nuts from the manual adjuster
  4. install seat using bolts from the manual adjuster
  5. plug in the seat and you're done.
