Help with new Throttle Position Sensor
Due to spontanious breakage I had to replace my throttle Position Sensor and like the instructions said it will have to be set, I was just hoping that it would not be the case and surprisingly enough I was not. It is not way off but is idling higher. Is there anyway to fix this without a scanner or a mechanics shop? Thanks alot for any help.
Maybe reset the IAC valve ?

The TPS in your car is not adjustable like on the earlier cars.
The computer takes the voltage it sees ;key on and uses that as idle Volts so all you have to do is check is that voltage changes as the throttle is opened

Both the TPS and IAC should "learn" the proper positions.
My 96 FSM says sightly depress the accelerator pedal as you start the engine; when it starts release the pedal; let engine idle 5 seven seconds; shut down the engine for 10 seconds, then re-fire and check for proper idle.
The procedure is suppose to give a fresh, new IAC position that the PCM will learn and adjust to.
