86 stalls HEELLLP
My 86 stops at stoplights or when the motor is slowing way down (like for a turn). It is not consistent, but always happens after the motor is warmed up. Have had it to numerous mechanic shops, but since it is not consistent, they can't figure it out. It doesn't have to be in gear. With NO WARNING it just stops, but starts right back up. Love my car, but in this condition it is not driveable. Last nite, I had it out and while making a turn it stalled - no steering or brake.

Make sure the EGR valve is closing. If it sticks open it acts like a big vacuum leak and can kill an engine at idle. Make sure there are no other big vacuum leaks, for example, the big vacuum supply to the powerbooster and the powerbooster itself. Verify the IAC is moving to open when you close the throttle.
