I noticed you are going to use a Mini-Ram. Isn't the cam you listed more of a TPI type cam? Not to be negative but the Mini can spin you up pretty high given the chance. BTW looks like a nice motor.

This cam was listed under the computer controlled and fuel inj cars for the model and year I would use. Iwant a cam that has good mid range and top end.

I haven't had the car on the dyno since I installed all the mods needed to compliment the stroker. It was dyno (279 RWHP) a few year back just after the stroker was installed. I'm looking to make at least 430 to the wheel. I'm guessing that I'm making around 390 at the wheel base on my track times. Low 7.80's @ 90 mph with 1.70 60ft in the 1/8 mile. I know there a lot more there. Between a cam up grade and a better tune I should in the 430+ range.

I think CC306 is fine and the 383 makes up for some of the choppyness of that cam, but I agree that a little more lift might perform better and not sacrifice anything. I would go with the one rodj recommended if you drive it often.

Shouldnt have any problem making your goal.

I have used all those cams, and they would all work well with a miniram. The 230/236 Comp will be the mildest one, but even the Crane 236/242 work real good on the street, and still has good street manners, but the idle is lopier... obviously!

Thanks guys for your input. Rodj the 07-467-08 has what I looking for. The car isn't a daily driver but I would like to keep some good street manners for weekend cruising.

I am impressed with how " docile " the 847 (234 /242 ) is.
Running a 750 HP DP carb ( for baseline tuning purposes ) it will come to a flat stable 700rpm idle in less than a minute ; doesn't pull down going into gear
Wicked response with a 3K convertor ( 3.73 ) but after I blew that one was running a 2200 convertor and no SOTP loss of bottom end or throttle response

You'll probably want more spring to go with that though.

I planned on getting a stronger set of springs. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Could you tell me if the Crane 236/242 created any issues with accessories and vaccum. I found a cam Comp Cam 08-468-8 I want to use but I'm a bit concern if this cam will create an issuse with the vaccum and accessories(i.e. A/C and power steering)

Never actually measured the vac on mine w/ 847 but using the original '87 booster felt no different stopping than past 10 years

Are you going to be upgrading the injectors? I would think at least 30's?
