Default Shorty Headers

I started to look at a set of Shorty headers and what I gather so far is save you'er money and there not worth spending your cash on.

The gain is not worth the money..

What is you out take on shorty headers.

I read the stock exhasut Manifold suck but as normal Ca is tieing our hands out here what we can get away with I like to have a set of full headers but that not going to happen.

I have a cat back Magna Flow Mufflers already.

I have also heard shortys aren't worth it..But why can't you use LT headers in California?? There are models that have all the emission hook ups just like the stock exhaust..WW

I spent $350.00 on my pacesetter shorties and gained 10rwhp and 12rwtrq over the manifolds. Worth it from my view point.

He could buy coated headman LT headers for $20.00 more and gain 20 to 25hp , but only if California will let him.....WW

What I under standing about Long tube headers and precats don't work together something about the temp of the exhaust when it hits the precats it not hot enough so the cats light off.

So until they redo the exmept smog laws here I stuck with OEM exhaust manifolds for now.

The shorties look cool but for $500.00 Plus bucks plus.
Then air injectors stuff and the other problems I going to run in to for now OEM.
