When you have no spark, check power supply going into dist.
Ok ckecked power at the "BAT" connection both when cranking and not. I have power there. The question I have is on the 3 wire connector it has a "B+" and a red wire when should it be hot?
Im totally confused now. If this post sounds stupid, Im going to blame it on a senior moment.
What if you run a hot wire from batt to dist. Undo the factory batt wire in to dist and run hot lead there. ?

What about that coil test in the FSM pic?
Mike
Not a stupid post at all. It's a post that goes right with how this car is making me feel. lol
I checked the wire from the batt to the "BAT" terminal and it checked OK. In the morning I will check the coil using the FSM pic IF it still doesn't start.
That has been part of the issue with trying to fix it is that it won't stay broke
Pic up coil test here? BTW... my shop manual is 89. If you want any other pages, I will look them up for you. Im out of idea's Mike
Well I followed the diagram and did all of the test. Everything checks out. I had a couple of local guys say check the ingnition switch. What do you think? If that could be it how do you test it?
