Default AC Problem

92 C4-Changed out the condensor in winter. Charged & ran. All was well. Ran it just last week & found out that their is air/liquid coming out of the check valve on top of the compressor. What is the problem here, anyone?

That's the High Pressure Relief Valve which is set to blow somewhere around 450 to 600 psi. There is also a high pressure shutoff which is from the Presssure Sensor on the High Pressure Line. Should the PCM see 400 psi (about 4 volts) from that Sensor, it opens the Compressor Relay shutting off the Compressor. Assuming yours continued to run (and made cold air), the pressure is probably within specs and you simply need a new Relief Valve. Unfortunately, you'll have to discharge it to replace it and to be sure there's nothing else going on, you should hook up a Manifold Gage Set and check operating pressures.
